Knock and the Door Shall Be Opened

I’m not a religious person. Don’t worry, I’m not an atheist, either. I would consider myself an open-minded agnostic. Because, really, nobody actually knows.

With that being said, if I’ve learned anything during my short time on earth, it’s that if you want something, ask for it. I’ve always found that if there’s something that I really want, and if I truly ask for it, think about it frequently, and ask some more, I somehow always eventually get that thing. No matter what it is. This has worked with jobs, school, fitness, relationships, material items, money, and many other things.

There are lots of books out there that talk about this concept, such as The Secret, Think and Grow Rich, Psycho-Cybernetics, to name a few. While these books explain the concept well, I think one book sums it up perfectly. Although I’ve never read the Bible, I do know there’s some pretty good stuff in there.

In Matthew 7:7, Jesus says, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” In other words, if you want something, ask for it.

Now, I personally don’t think that it’s God or the universe that will be fulfilling your request. Rather, it will be you. If you truly want something in life, if you sincerely ask for it, your subconscious mind will find a way to get it.

Do you want to run a marathon? Then ask for it. Do you want to have a good relationship with your significant other? Then ask for it. Do you want to get a 4.0 in school? Then ask for it. Do you want to land that dream job for the company you love? Then ask for it. Do you want to travel more? Meet new people? Make more money? Ask for it. Ask for it every single day and let your subconscious do the rest. Writing it down with pen and paper is even better.

I know it sounds crazy, but trust me, it works. Happy Friday everyone.
